Dr. Mostafa presented a talk titled “A Medical Image Workbench: Balancing Representation & Access Challenges in ViewFinder” at the Biomedical Research Imaging Center, UNC at Chapel Hill. The research project discussed is based on a curated MRI image data collection provided by the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI).

Dr. Mostafa presented an overview of the emerging field of Clinical Informatics (CI) and discussed some critical applications. The Carolina Data Warehouse – Health was presented as a model system supporting research and training activities in CI.
